The suspended (and secret) gardens of the Faroe Islands - Part One

 It was nine in the night, and the sun was still there. The atmosphere was healthy and the temperature was cool when we arrived in the city of Vaga, landing on a small airport built by the English during World War II as strategic point at North Atlantic. Now it is used only by commercial or charter flights, as it was in the case of Fenerbahçe.
Our destination: the world’s smallest capital, Torshan, with only seventeen thousand inhabitants within an overall population of approximately forty seven thousand. From the airport to the hotel, more precisely a lodging facility, forty minutes of an uncommon path marked by the singular appreciation of magic and divine landscapes.
The explicit nature causes a huge impact and consecrates the visual sense of concrete and intelligent shapes of local constructions and fishermen’s colored villages. Catholic churches in multiple relevance, and it is very rare to see people in the streets...
The countless cliffs expose waterfalls of volcanic origin, which form huge cascades which run in high speed towards rivers and seas, possessed by the crystalline liquid of its waters, causing an extraordinary brightness.
To an even more pungent contemplation, an incalculable variety of birds followed our bus, offering the best possible reception with their joyful flight and amazing moves. A show of wings along the skies built by the hands of God!
Moments of reflection about the origin and originality of that place, about the behavior of civilization, about the beauty of local constructions and about the life quality there exposed. Then, an initial exclamation: a real gate of dreams in the artistic fantasy created by nature!
